Heidelberg Christian School

Heidelberg Christian School is a private Christian school using the principles of Biblical Education. Academics are of a high standard where the curriculum, which is individually based, combined with teachings from the Word of God will equip the student to respond to real life situations in a positive and Godly manner. Character building in the student’s life will enable them to live upright lives both in and out of the workplace. Comparable to the Cambridge A levels, Heidelberg Christian School is a fully registered private school in accordance with the Independent Schools Act of South Africa.

The curriculum used by the Heidelberg Christian School is founded on the Word of God and is Biblically based. As each child is unique in his approach to studying, and has his own unique way of learning, the Christian curriculum we use enables the child to achieve his long-term academic goal at a pace that suits the child’s learning skill. All the PACE’s and learning material used by the student cover Christian character traits, Christian values and Biblical principles.

The system used is an individualized learning programme. The programme allows students of the same age to progress at their own academic pace, without having to wait for their classmates. Each PACE informs the student on the first page what will be covered in the PACE, and the student is responsible to complete all work and assignments on their own. The PACE’s are self-explanatory, and even though the student is expected to work on his own at his own office, they are also taught to take full responsibility for their learning and work progress through the facilitation of either the Supervisor or Monitor in a classroom environment.

The ACE curriculum is CAPS compliant and students will be able to apply to attend universities and colleges after graduation, both locally and internationally.
